This past year has been so amazing - watching you develop from a little peanut cooing and kicking and growing into a babbling, chatty, funny, toddler. You've taken your first steps but aren't just quite ready to take off. You have your mommy's hair - blond and straight with no curls in sight, and lots of it! Thankfully, just like Amelia, you permit me to dress up your hair with bows, clips and headbands, with the occasional hat. I just love having girls!
Although you apparently love to sing, we unfortunately have to inform you that neither nuclear side of our family is known for their lovely voice. Perhaps you'll break assumptions and surprise us with a voice fit to entertain!
Your baby blues came from extended family - and are just like Aunt Lindsey's - both mommy and daddy have our own version of hazel (me - hazel green and daddy - hazel blue - amelia has a mixture of both mommy and daddy's hazel!)
Daddy is so lucky to have another little girl that enjoys watching sports with him! You are so content to sit with him in the crook of his arm watching a football game, baseball, or whatever game depending on the season.
Amelia and Vegas are your bestest of friends. You are a very lucky girl to have such a thoughtful and loving big sister, as she is lucky to have a very sweet, generous (especially with all your new christmas and birthday toys), and funny young sister in you. Audrey, you make us laugh, laugh and laugh some more. We love how you smile at everything and will tolerate being held by just about anyone. Another social butterfly (how could you escape that being from both the Altick and the Clark bloodlines?) in our family - which I am sure you will come to appreciate.
Audrey, you are a daring one. From early on, you have been a cautious explorer. Climbing up and down our stairs without fear, and up to the top of your chair - reaching the height only to turn around to make sure we are watching you and then to do a somersault down onto the ground. Then right back up again.
You love your Little Giraffe blankets. Whenever you need to soothe, snuggle or wind down for bed, we know that the blanket (or as amelia has dubbed it the "NeNe") will encourage you to pop your thumb in your mouth and rub the silk edges in your fingers. Whenever you see the blankets across the room, you crawl so quickly over, lay on top of it and rub you face. I think it is the cutest thing ever.
