Birthday Cake All Mixed Together

Amelia has been talking more and more about her upcoming birthday (March!?) and mostly about what kind of cake she wants.  It has gotten more and more elaborate the longer she talks about it, but for certain, she has repeatedly requested "a rainbow birthday cake all mixed together".  Hmm.

On Pinterest, I found several recipes showing how to make rainbow cakes and several showing how to make marble cakes.  I figure I can combine the two techniques.  We decided to test this out a bit with Audrey's birthday cake.  I did not want to do exactly what Amelia is requesting so we did 5 different colors of pink, all mixed together.

We "celebrated" Audrey's first birthday on Christmas Eve, since most of our local family would already be at our house for dinner.  Amelia was super excited to help make the cake (and lick the batter!)
