Easter Sunday

Our Easter weekend was filled with Egg-dying, family, good food, CANDY, surprises, and a fabulous morning at Menlo.  They were over the top this year with a Bird Show (Amelia's self-proclaimed favorite!), petting zoo, several egg hunts and an amazing brunch buffet (that essentially included breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as a dessert buffet.  We did not eat for the rest of the day!

Two of my favorite Audrey-isms of the day:

1- She figured out how to unwrap and eat a large chocolate bunny at 7am.  (See pics below of her walking around the house with it in hand.  Too bad we did not snap a photo of what happened when we took it away).

2 - In the petting zoo, she was talking to all the bunnies, chickens and goats in this hilarious toddler language.  She then would try to sit on each animal (like she does with Vegas) to show that she liked them!  It was so funny to watch.  Fortunately Brad was in there with her so he could interfere before any animals were hurt :)

My two favorite Amelia-isms of the day:

1- Amelia said, "Mommy, I think the Easter bunny hopped into the garage, borrowed my leftover candy from my birthday party and hid it in the eggs!"  (with a ton of excitement and enthusiasm).

2 - Amelia prefers to eat the pink and purple dyed eggs because they taste better.

love these girls!
