We have a swimmer!

After many weeks of swim practice, Amelia swam an entire lap across the pool! I had tears in my eyes when I saw her reach the other end. Coach Morgan asked her to rest before she turned to swim back but she wanted to go right away. I am so incredibly proud of her! What a huge milestone!

Primping

As I was getting dressed one evening for a date night, Audrey wandered into the bathroom and kept trying to put the rollers in her hair. My set has a ton of tiny rollers, so I went with it, and she enjoyed every minute! she kept wanting more and more set in her hair. Audrey is too much!

Audreys and Amelias

Amelia has been practicing with Menlo's swim team this summer. Although we weren't planning to enter her into a swim meet this year, I thought it would be fun for her to see all the chaos of an actual meet. We attended part of the last meet before the finals - and ran into many of the other children that she practices with during the week!

We ran into her friend Audrey, who's cousin Amelia happened to be visiting and at the pool too! Amelia and Audrey and Amelia and Audrey forgot all about the swim meet and had fun playing on the grass, building bird nests out of all the pine needles and enjoying popsicles. quite a day!

Mommy and Little A

While Amelia had a week of summer camp, Audrey and I enjoyed some great one on one time. We spent a morning at CuriOddessy - a local nature and animal/ children's museum. Audrey thoroughly enjoyed exploring at her whim, without big sister hovering around!

Pronghorn 2012

We were fortunate to have joined Ellen and Frank on one of their annual trips to Bend, Oregon. Pronghorn is a great spot for families - endless golf, swimming, biking, trips to the playground, hiking and any outdoor activity one could imagine! I took too many pictures to post, but here are some select shots - sorry they're out of order!
