Big Girls
Amelia's officially in a "big girl" seat - it can potentially last until she's the required minimum age for a carseat/booster - 8 years old [!!!]. I think the height suggestion might include my current height, but I won't be borrowing this chair. Audrey was also bumped up to Amelia's old seat and she is MUCH happier in the car. They are so cute - the girls like to hold hands in the car.
Pumpkin Patch
Over the weekend we headed to the local pumpkin patch with one of our favorite families, the Kearns. Last year we met up and did the same, so one could say this is the beginning of a tradition! The kiddos had a great time exploring the fields, climbing on haystacks, getting dirty in the bounce house and checking out pumpkins.
Baby Audrey's first Halloween!
Brady and Amelia - they held hands the entire day.
Pumpkins!
Up high on the hay bales.

And away they go....

Ladies lunch
Friday Heather Wolfitt and Jenn Lachini came over for lunch - it was such a treat to see them and have some time to catch up on life! Heather is in town from Chicago for a wedding in Sonoma; she's expecting her first child in early February - a little mr. Wolfitt! Jenn is busy transitioning to a new job in the near future. These ladies are Kappa sorority sisters from our UC Davis days. I can't believe we're celebrating a 10-year reunion later this fall.
Sissies!
These girls are just so much fun! Amelia with her Eeyore for letter "E" sharing day at school, and Audrey with her soft blanket...

Weekend at the Beach
Bob and Leslie were generous to share their beach home in Pajaro Dunes with our family while they are cruising. We took advantage of the amazing weather and spent the weekend playing in the sand, cooking up lobsters and relaxing. A pod of dolphins, tons of pelicans, and several sea otters graced us with their presence!
These were big lobsters - that is Brad's hand in the photo!
All tuckered out on the drive home.

Thursday Night Football
Daddy's team wins again! They are undefeated - which makes it fun to watch. Amelia and Audrey enjoyed cheering on the team. We were lucky to have Uncle Scott join us this game.

Lemos Farm Birthday
We drove to Half Moon Bay for a birthday party on Sunday. It was for a classmate of Amelia's - and we all had a great time. Our first experience at Lemos Farm was so much fun - from train rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses, hot chocolate (new favorite thing!), pumpkins of every kind, and CAKE! It was quite a day.
Petting zoo - one of those goats knocked her over trying to get her cup of food!
Loves those pony rides....
Best seat around.

Driggling
What better way to spend a rainy day inside than "driggling" the soccer ball? I love toddler vocabulary!

Meet. Play. Grub.
To burn off some afternoon energy, the girls and I met my girlfriend, Adriana, and her son Conor at a new "play cafe" in Los Altos, Bumble. A great concept - cafe with a playroom and outdoor sandbox so the adults can meet, the kids can play, and everyone can "grub" - they even have a special menu catered towards little children and their discriminating palates.
In the front yard they have custom built sandbox with the most pristine while sand you've ever seen.
The cafe has many seating areas, including an adults-only patio (which I have yet to experience); but the best part is a play room where you can check in kids ages 1-10 in half hour increments. They have all the best developmental toys, including a 5-kid bike!
There is a huge saltwater aquarium that divides the eating area from the playroom - if the kiddos are in the playroom, they can pop their heads up to say hi to mom and dad!
I fed the girls there, so after a quick bath both were asleep before 7pm. What a day!
