Ode to Vegas

Vegas had her 6th Birthday on November 1st.

She is our first baby and holds such a special place in our hearts.

We love you Vegas!

I will have to locate some puppy pictures, but for now, Vegas through the years and many milestones of our family...

Meeting amelia on her first day home from the hospital.  Not quite sure where she fits in...

Trick-or-Treat!

We spent Halloween trick-or-treating with our good friends, the Agostas.  It is also Tony's birthday, so there were lots to celebrate!  They also hosted us last year, and we love to get the invitation - Tammy sure knows how to throw a great party.  The kids all got a glow stick/flash light/necklace so we could ID them while trick-or-treating.  For the limited number of houses we hit up, they kiddos sure brought in a ton of candy.  In the hour that followed, lots of candy was traded, consumed, half-eaten and saved for later...
Hadley and Amelia

Super excited to be so dressed up!

The kiddos (L to R):
Braden (Giants Baseball player), Hadley (Princess), Audrey (Chickadee)
Kaitlyn (Tinkerbell), Amelia (Flamingo Dancer) and Luke (Batman)

Ready to GO!

Brad pushing the stroller with Audrey (and the beer!)

The "bushmen" - they were nearly invisible in the dark and scared the older kids!

Back home - devouring the goods.

Goodnight!

Preschool Halloween

Amelia's Pre-K class enjoyed their annual Halloween parade and class party, complete with goodies, a bounce house, a haunted house, and march around the school.

Senorita Amelia - a flamenco (aka "flamingo") dancer

Some classmates piled into the restroom to see one of the girl's glow-in-the-dark hair.  It was so funny!

Lots of pink and dresses in this group!

Cheese!

Getting ready to start the parade

Amelia was delighted to see that grandma Ellie surprised her and showed up to watch the Halloween parade.

Spider-web pretzels for the class party.  Brad ended up taking over this project and created much more realistic snacks than my prototype!

49er Game

Brad and I had some kid-free time on Sunday amidst the Halloween weekend frenzy.  We scored some free tickets to the 49er/Browns game including a pre-game tailgate.  Unexpectedly, I ran into a friend from law school that I haven't spoken to in years; he had moved back to the Bay Area only days ago!

Laurel Street Goblin Walk

We are definitely getting the most out of the Halloween experience this year!  The girls put costumes on (Audrey in Amelia's 1st Halloween costume - a chickadee - and Amelia wearing one of her dress up princesses - Cindrella) and we went trick-or-treating at local businesses in San Carlos.  They close down streets in the cute downtown and let the kids have free reign on the sidewalks and street without fear for cars.
